We have always heard that distance makes the heart grow fonder, for Mary Anne and Kyle their love has proven a tale as old as time to be true once again.
From high school sweethearts to dating all throughout their college years, a 4-hour road trip was nothing for these two if it meant getting to spend a weekend together.
You see, Kyle played baseball at Clemson University while Mary Anne was in school at Georgia Southern, Mary Anne credits this phase of their life to being, “the hardest but most rewarding years, we learned to be more caring, patient, and really value our time together.”
After graduation Mary Anne hoped a proposal was coming but wasn’t sure when! She knew Kyle had been hinting around at an engagement for a few months, and after a day of hiking the time was right! After 7 years of dating, Kyle dropped down to one knee and asked the love of his life to marry him! Mary Anne admitted that she, “actually froze and forgot to say yes”, because she was so happy!
Once engaged, Mary Anne and Kyle come to tour The Wheeler House and immediately fell in love!
“We loved it so much that we did not want to look at any other venues! From the first step we took onto The Wheeler House property my jaw actually dropped. The house itself is just so beautiful and the ceremony space in the arbor outside instantly sold me. The big trees, the chandeliers, the string lights, the amazing barn, everything was even better than how I have always pictured my wedding to look like! Also, the packages that The Wheeler House offers are unbeatable in my opinion, they make it so fun and easy to plan a wedding!”
During Mary Anne’s planning process, she credits attending The Wheeler House Open Houses to helping her along the way, “they help you get a better idea of what your wedding will look like and you can meet the vendors that you will be working with!”
We asked what recommendations Mary Anne would give to any couples getting married at The Wheeler House and she said, “just trust The Wheeler House Staff, they truly know what they’re doing! Take their advice during the planning meetings and don’t be afraid to ask questions!”
Kyle + Mary Anne’s summer wedding was everything that we knew it would be! A couple that is just as beautiful on the inside as the out, we were so fortunate to work with them on their special day and we hope their love that started as young kids will continue to grow forever.
